Beat the Fibre Positioner
Drag each fibre onto its target position within its patrol circle. Then see how you stack up against AESOP, the 4MOST fibre positioning system that does this for 2436 fibres all at once.
Real numbers: AESOP is responsible for positioning all 2436 science fibres simultaneously using tiny motors on each fibre and a system of cameras to monitor their positions. Each science fibre has a patrol radius of 11.8mm, (~200 arcsec) and is positioned by AESOP with an accuracy typically better than 10 micron (1/100th of a mm). 4MOST budgets 2 minutes for AESOP to position all 2436 science fibres, although it often completes this in under 1 minute.
You only place a handful of fibres here in this game, so at the end your pace gets scaled up to a full 2436-fibre field for the comparison. That's the actual reason you lose: not reaction speed, but doing serially what AESOP does in parallel.
